Touching Miami with Love

Touching Miami with Love (TML) is a community-based organization that has been serving children and youth for 25 years. We operate two sites in two of Miami-Dade’s most stigmatized communities, Overtown and West Homestead. Between our two centers, we serve nearly 400 children in grades K-5th and youth in grades 6th-12th five days a week in programming. Currently, we remain creative and connected to our students and families through distance learning as we carry out our lessons in literacy, science, art, math, spiritual development, self-care and civic engagement. Our community development model seeks to not simply rescue children and youth from poverty who then leave our communities, but instead nurtures them who as adults become community leaders who stay to make real and lasting change from within. Our focus is to provide high-quality, year-long, out of school support through holistic programs designed to meet the spiritual, educational, and social emotional needs of children and youth while providing support and resources for their families.
